'30 Day FUGEcamps t-shirt challenge'
It's my goal for the month of August to wear a different FUGEcamps T-shirt every day of the month. 'He has that many?' or 'Is he nuts...no one wears those shirts in real life!' is what you may be thinking. But in all actuality I do own that many AND I do wear these shirts in real life. Thanks to working 4 summers of camp and having gone to camp as a student and adult leader I proudly wear FUGE gear in public. I love all things camp. Of course that's partially a lie; I guess. Yes, camp wears you out and you may not always agree with everything they do each year, but you gotta admit... Camp is so much fun and so rewarding at the end of the day/week/summer. Knowing that you've done the Lord's work and helped spread his message so that His kingdom expands. It's mind blowing to know that we as FUGE staff are a part of what God is doing in the lives of the students, adults & other people we come in contact with through camp.
Just by wearing a shirt at camp we are promoting the FUGE store making camp cheaper... Yes that's true but I tell my students every week and I mean it when I say it... 'it's a witnessing tool' I also love camp. I do get worn out around mid summer but I'm recharged daily by God's word and how each day he teaches me something new. Plus it's at camp where I found my love for youth ministry and I feel God leading me to go back to school to pursue an education degree. I regret not doing it in college (another blog...another time).
So as dumb as it may sound to some; I find it exciting and challenging to wear FUGE shirts every day of every week for all of august. Keep updated on my blog cause I'll be posting each week my pictures from the week.
Also be in prayer for me folks!! I'm working on job applications and relocations and all sorts of life decisions in the coming months. (again.. Another blog another day)
